Predators
The flying fish's predators are, dolphins, tuna, marlin, birds, squids, and porpoises. Young
The females lay their eggs in or near a bed of seaweed as they float, the string at the end of them, gets stuck on the seaweed and it then stays there until it is hatched. The fish eggs are born one egg at a time. When they are hatched, the babies swim for their lives, since they don't have a mother they have to hide under seaweed or a rock. Then when they are ready the venture out to eat small fish and plankton.
Niche or role in their ecosystem
Their role in the ecosystem is that they can escape from the predators and then the predators follow the japanese flying fish. While the predators aren't there, the other fish can swim without getting eaten.
