SIZE-
Adults are usually about 20.0 cm it doesnt matter if it is male or female.
Adults teardrop shape is usually the biggest when they are older because they grow and the teardrop shape grows with them!

PYSICAL DESCRIPTION-
Identifying Marks- You can identify the Teardrop ButterflyFish because it has a beautiful black shape or a teardrop on it's fin. It is a tremendous, outstanding yellow and it is swims ever so gracefully.

Location in the world
The Teardrop ButterflyFish swims and lives in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. It only likes the clear warm waters so the Indian Ocean is a perfect place for it to live.

Diet
Teardrop ButterflyFish gets food by searching in the nooks and crannies of the ocean floor for little creatures to eat. They eat plankton also. The reason they search in the nooks and crannies is because they are small enough to search through there without getting caught or being seen by predators. =)

Predators
Most of the predators of the Teardrop Butterfly Fish is a shark or bigger fish than the teardrop butterfly fish.
Mostly sharks though because they like to eat smaller things and the Teardrop Butterfly Fish is a small organism to eat.

Young
Not many babies are born. Sometimes there are none in a year. They do not reproduce well in captivity. They like to be in big groups of 2 or 3 but they sometimes still don't have many babies.

Niche or role in their ecosystem
In their ecosystem it plays a big part eating the algae, barnacles, and some of the coral. It's use is to trim down the corals so they don't grow too high.
